Well, relegation really isn't so bad a fate of course. You get to play some different players/teams, win a lot of games/matches, and then most likely straight back up again.

But the IMB is getting stronger with the juniors coming through so not a total walk over. I'd hate to bet on the outcome of a possible York B vs D!
Doncaster and Ilkley in the IM Browns as well. It would be a tough but enjoyable league.

I don't see how you can fairly agree a tie-break rule after the event when everyone knows who the winner and loser will be. I'd have thought there are only three options:
  • Ask for a volunteer to lose the tie-break
  • Random selection of a winner and loser
  • Play-off match

Or someone doesn't want promotion, or the league gets larger or.....

There are advantages to keeping things flexible, despite the headaches resulting.

I am all for flexibility, but these things mentioned are after the fact (team doesn't want promotion, relegate less; league gets larger, relegate less); but you need conditions in place before hand just in case the status quo remains, its always better to plan for the worse, it sometimes happens

This happened fairly recently in the Woodhouse cup. 2018/2019 between Rose Forgrove A and Harrogate A.
Looks like Harrogate were at home in the League so played away in a tie breaker and won. I'm sure there would have been restrictions on who can turn out - For example must have played for the team that season.
