One of the most loved and respected chess journalist and writers we have known and 1955 British Champion with Alan Philips.

Of anyone I wish that Leonard would write his memoirs!

Happy Birthday Mr Barden.
One of my first chess book was The Guardian Chess Book by Leonard Barden. Won many games with his examples how to play openings / defence
