Nice work Carl - 30 minutes before the expected time too.

I have been enjoying it so much I havent even had breakfast - hopefully there should be a few days worth of entertainment in trying to learn them all.

Out of interest, how do I go about changing my 'club' on the list? It currently names a 4ncl team that dissolved 4 years ago?

Well done Carl - as usual, ecforum fastest with the news you want (and don't want) to hear.

I had thought you were going to calm down once the list was published, Joey, but clearly you have hours of excitement ahead of you yet.

An initial look at the grading list suggests it looks quite good. I don't see any ridiculous junior grades and those which appeared out of line last year seem to have returned to normality. Anybody spotted anything unusual this year?

19 slowplay games, 6 rapidplay, and ending up with the same grade as last season in both

A young fellow called Jonathan Mestel is the 11th most improved adult in England.....up 26 grading points. Maybe it's the chess version of Benjamin Button?

In this case, that is the right thing to do. But don’t jump in without first reading what the list’s Help page has to say on the subject. Club lists are automated. Lapsed clubs go away all by themselves in a couple of years or so, and in the meantime can be a useful guide to identity. Unfortunately congress organisers know a way of sabotaging the system, and it’s what they’ve done here. They simply go on reporting lapsed clubs for you long after you’ve left them. The system has no defence against this. So if a club lingers for much over two years, reach for the contact form and have it deleted manually (and permanently). But give the system a chance to work first. Don’t go asking to have a club deleted the moment you’ve left it. Some do!
