John - you may not agree with the way the tendering process has been run and there may be other ways to do it, but many people have experience of tendering processes, and your suggestion to date that only two of the twelve board members are competent in this regard is nonsense.

I did not suggest only two.

I wrote that I am aware that two of the board have strong business and commercial experience : the devil is in the detail.

So having named two board members would you care to name any others. After all not everybody's CV would obviously refer to procurement experience, but a great many people have to be trained or made aware of procurement issues even if they have no direct responsibility. The devil may be in the detail, but the silence about others invites inferences to be drawn that you might not have intended.

Please feel free to do that yourself.

I note that you have "run-ins" with others in this place on previous postings. I have no desire to engage in forum ping pong. This will be my final reply to yourself on this matter.

Ah bad editing on my part though I think you know only too well what I meant to write. If you don't want to answer a relevant question then why are you here asking questions yourself? Dialogue is a two way process is it not? One or perhaps both of us doesn't seem to understand social media.

I predict that the "winner" of the tender will be UK Chess Challenge persons.

Who would like to bet against me ?

The timescale is laughable for anyone who was not pre-warned about the content of the tender.

In the interests of transparency (etc) it would be useful to know who the other bidding parties were. :D

I think it would be useful if the adjudication panel published a report.

A couple of questions:
- Is the UK Chess Challenge a *FIDE* Academy and, if it isn't, does this affect the ECF's status as a FIDE Academy (assuming it is still one);
- The ECF Academy used to receive funding from chess trusts. Will that continue?
