Eric Sachs resigns after 6 years “unprecedented service” as Junior Chess Officer
The B&DCL Committee regrets to report that Eric Sachs has resigned as the B&DCL and DCCA Junior Chess Officer with immediate effect after six years unprecedented service. On behalf of its members, the B&DCL Committee wishes to thank Eric for all his hard work, enthusiasm and dedication in promoting and delivering junior chess initiatives within the County.

Eric, along with a team of helpers, now wishes to build on the success of the Bournemouth Library Junior Chess Club initiative which is being run on an independent, private basis and, as both the B&DCL and DCCA are non-profit making organisations, it is now necessary for us to appoint a new Junior Chess Officer who will promote and deliver Junior Chess activities in Bournemouth and across the County on a voluntary basis to fit in with the structure and ethos of both bodies.

Until a new successor is appointed, the contact email for B&DCL and Dorset County Chess Association junior chess matters is [email protected]

We wish Eric every success in the future.

Martin Simons, Chairman, Bournemouth & District Chess League
