A big congratulation to Frederick Waldhausen Gordon (SCO, 2010) for his FM title!
He reached 2300 in the May rating list (after a +143 month!) and acquired his title in the June list.
Congratulations to Freddy Gordon for his FM title

Not quite true. He reached the magic 2300 mid tournament and it was confirmed shortly after.

Worth noting the list of the British qualifiers does not show him in the section FM >2300. (Maybe due to the few days timing difference?). He or CS may want to point that out in case he plans to play at the British.

The qualification criteria are open to interpretation. Does "FIDE Masters rated 2300 or higher on the FIDE rating list published on 1st May 2023" mean you have to have both the title and the rating on 1 May, or just the rating and the title can come later? In this case the Chess Scotland link above says he didn't get the title until 5 May.Wadih Khoury wrote: ↑Wed Jun 07, 2023 3:10 pmWorth noting the list of the British qualifiers does not show him in the section FM >2300.
