Hampshire Megafinal 2023: June 25th

HJCA is running the Hampshire Megafinal on Sunday, June 25th and has 197 entries with 3 remaining.

Travelling furthest is eight year old Maxsym Kryshtafor from York / Ukraine with a current standard play rating of 1865A playing in the U9/U10 section.

A total of 81 players entered who did not have a current ECF membership code and all have been invited to join the ECF.

The ECF misses a trick here and they could provide an incentive scheme to encourage new memberships caused by event organisers.

As a habit I always encourage players to become members before the event to avoid the fines from the ECF Office.

I should have written that of the 81 a fair few are renewals of expired memberships.

I'm pleased to announce that the Hampshire Megafinal has filled its provisional entry at two hundred.

We are creating a reserve list to cater for the last minute "Timmy has developed a tummy ache this morning" issues that usually affect at least ten children.
