Hampshire Open Junior FIDE Blitz 2025

Hampshire Junior Chess Association is running a fifteen round open junior FIDE (and ECF) rated blitz event on Sunday, October 5th

This is the fourth running of this increasingly popular event for juniors.

The prize fund currently sits at £215 and is likely to increase.

We are now sitting at 30 entries with one week to go.

The event will definitely go ahead.

A reminder that it is OPEN to all players from any part of the country of 18 years or under.

We have a very decent prize fund down to 10th place or so.

Here is something you don't see very often

The entire (almost 50 player) field of a mixed age junior tournament from 7 -14 all having FIDE IDs, ECF IDs and ECF membership codes.

The ECF membership fines department was not troubled by this event!
