Our new Junior section

Darlington Chess club started a junior section in Oct this Monday it had grown to 9 members off more intrest to myself 2 off those 9 were girls
I am speaking here for myself and not the NCCU which i am now president of

Opps it was not meant like that sigh
It was nice to see 2 girls showing a intrest in the game the hardest part might be keeping them intrested when they hit the terrible teens lol.
I do have a question will it be easier to keep the girls playing if more girls turn up or will it make no differance

I suspect it won't make a difference as long as there is more than one. if oyu have one on her own, however, that may be more of an issue

In my experience it is not easy to keep boys or girls into their teenage years, except in secondary school chess clubs.

our new Junior venture has now grown to about 12 players and we are adding new members every week
