The results of this event are available at http://www.englishchess.org.uk/wp-conte ... t-2011.pdf.

I see that the winner was Marcus Harvey, who has recently been commended in another thread.

Marcus' two games on the second day were apparently very interesting - he told me he sacced a couple of pieces for a mating attack against Brandon Clarke in round four.

In the last round against James Holland the advantage swung back and fro several times, with James missing a mate in five at one point, before Marcus finally allowed a swindle at the very end - if he'd promoted his pawn to a rook he would have won, but by getting a queen he allowed James to sacrifice his rook for stalemate!
