Junior Chess Training

Hi all,
I am writing to let everyone know about the Junior Chess training events being held in the coming months.
Although being hosted by Kent Junior Chess Association, the training is open to all juniors so anyone can and is welcome to attend. Having spoken to team managers of county organisations over the years, many have said that their children do not have access to any formal training.
One of the secrets of the success of the Kent Juniors is the most excellent training programme organised and run by Chris Ward GM and his truly exceptional team of coaches.
I am very proud to announce that Kent (ie Chris) is currently in negotiations to secure John Emms GM to also join the team.
If Chris is successful, we will have two GMs at the helm of our training programme, spearheading progress and development, in addition to helping any and all juniors to improve and be successful with their chess.
The first of these coaching days is on Sunday October 9th at Amherst School, nr Sevenoaks. The details of this day and the other three coaching days may be found at
http://www.kjca.org/Event
Signing up is very easy and can be done on the website.
If you have any questions, to please use the ‘contact us’ section of the website.
The coaching days may be attended as ‘stand alone’ days for a fun day of coaching or they may be attended as a group in order to sit the Institute of Chess exams at the end of the course.
I have seen many children attend these events over a number of years and have noted how much the children have improved/enjoyed themselves and how much their confidence at the board has grown. It is a brilliant course, very logically laid out, to bring the children from their first tentative steps (Level 1), all the way to an advanced level (Level 5).
Kind regards to all,
Krishna
