Are you planning to use the Auditorium, if the games in the Classic have finished?

It would be nice, but I am not sure if there are enough boards David. They could put the top four in the auditorium and the rest outside, but I am thinking that they may choose to keep them together.

It was lovely to see the children up there on Monday.

A VERY big thank you to Sabrina and Malcolm in advance for organising this. I am sure that both must be super-busy at the moment and to do this for our juniors is great!

I am actually hoping to put the top 4 in the auditorium (just because I think it's pretty cool to play up there) and the other 5 in the VIP room.

Just hope the Classic guys hurry up with their games today :)

Sounds like a plan! Also, I am guessing that the Indians (like the Norweigians) are playing in the open section. So they will have to have finished their games as well.

Exactly - we will have to wait for both. Also, Amy's mum is driving this time so won't have to rush off. Very excited for it!! Go England!!!

Hi Sabrina and all the juniors,

A big well done on the super victory by the England juniors last night. Excellent organisation and lots of enthusiasm. Lovely to see all the children playing and having fun on the big board beforehand!

I believe that the final score across the two rounds was 11.5 v 7.5. Their opponents were a very strong Indian junior team and they outgunned us on paper on average (I think!).

Many thanks also to the Indian team and managers who kindly played us after finishing playing in the Open section. Also ofcourse, a big thank you to Malcolm Pein who was also there on hand last night, supporting our team.

Kind regards,

Krishna

Actually 11½ - 6½, I believe.

There was an astonishing turnaround on the top four boards, played in the Auditorium. The first round score was England 4 India 0; the second round score was England 0 India 4.

It was a pleasure to be an arbiter for the match. It was conducted in a very sporting fashion by the members of both teams, as was the match earlier in the week between England and Norway.

Thank you David,

Sorry, yes I believe you are right - my maths needs some work! :)

I do apologise also, a very big thank you to yourself also for arbitting the match! I hope that I have not missed anyone else! I am glad that you enjoyed it.

It was an astonishing turn-around indeed on the top boards. Rapidplays are like this in that so much depends on how the time is controlled as well as what is happening on the boards.

Kind regards,

Krishna
