That is very good to know that so many pupils of secondary school age will be taking part in this event and what a fine venue to be playing in it is very good of Eton college to be supporting chess in this way. I had draw with a lad form Eton last year very good player he was to. Are most of the school teams from private schools? Hopefully some state schools have entered?

Takes me back - one of my first ever school matches was playing for Windsor Grammar School just over the river at Eton College - I played one JJ Cox. A pity Windsor don't have a team entered.
Good luck for the event!

One of my first ever school matches was for Maidenhead Grammar School at Windsor Grammar School. MGS went comprehensive just after I left, changed its name to Desborough School.
