Adam - could you arrange for the use of a DGT board and a webcam for the shoot-out between "lawman" Sedgwick and "gunfighter" O'Gorman, so we can all enjoy it?

When I want to embed a picture in a message on a forum I always download it, change the size and quality if needed and then upload it to my photobucket account. That way not only can I control the dimensions and size (in bytes) of the picture, but I don't have to worry if the original site removes it or changes its location.

Also, it has been known for people to notice that images they have uploaded are being linked to by other people and for them to change the picture to something else (usually obscene), but keeping the same filename.

I will have a play with the settings and look at both providing just a link or a thumbnail, however I personally don't really have an issue with the images...

I would think this is quite rare, though if you have any examples.....

A final note, I do try to pick smaller pictures these days but it just doesn't always work out!

It's actually quite common. Try Googling "hotlinking" if you want to see the sort of thing people do to prevent it. If you're feeling brave, add "goatse" to the search.

But do not do so at work.
"Do you play chess?"
"Yes, but I prefer a game with a better chance of cheating."

Hotlinking can seriously damage peoples wallets, which is why they sometimes get extremely annoyed when it is done to them. A bit aso.

That didn't happen, sadly. I think Adam got cold feet after the allegations elsewhere on this Forum about arbiters fiddling pairings.
