Chess positions

Can anyone remind me (or point to the help page) for putting a position into the game viewing software used on this forum? I know how to put an entire game within 'pgn' tags, but not how to put a position from midway through a game (I don't remember the moves that led to the position).

It is the pos button and a FEN diagram as in http://www.chessgames.com/fenhelp.html
