Private messages in my outbox

Hi I replied to a private message but it is sitting in my outbox rather than the Sent message box.
Is that enough or does that mean it is not sent?

When the person receiving the message logs in, the message will get sent, IIRC.

Yes not read/sent it is a bit unusual.

They have to go and read the message just logging in will not trigger it.
