Excessive and repeated requests

Post by Carl Hibbard » Thu Jul 21, 2016 12:47 pm

The site came under excessive load yesterday for a few hours pushing data at almost 6mb/s at peak.

Why isn't clear but some threads had many repeated access attempts meaning some view counts are now widely out I have to report.

It stopped almost as fast as it started but the issue lasted several hours.

Carl,

Your site is now officially endorsed by the ECF.

The Junior pages reference John Higgs's thread on the Glorney Cup: http://englishchess.org.uk/Juniors/glor ... rts-today/

As Maurice Micklewhite never said: "Not many people know that!"
