Caption Competition

Post by MSoszynski » Tue Mar 26, 2013 8:00 am

Caption competition.

The picture shows Derek Green of Sutton Coldfield Chess Club http://www.suttonchess.org.uk trying to arrange matched sets of pieces that have become mixed up down the years.

No prizes except for kudos and immortality (subject to restrictions).

A deep booming voice resonates from above the trembling spectators standing next to the yellow brick road:

"Pay no attention to that man shuffling the chess pieces"

The worlds first Subuteo enactment of "Escape to Victory". Unfortunately all the kits are in the wash.

Derek's budget Warhammer 40,000 army saw him shunned and derided by his fellow fantasy gamers.

You might think I am joking but I am aware of a local (to me) chess club member who, once a season, took the club pieces home and washed them in the bath.

It is not clear if he was also in the bath at the same time.

The effect on the felt bases was less than helpful.
