Ivanchuk and Shirov have survived the Wood Green cull.Christopher Kreuzer wrote:Heh. I noticed Sadler's registration. Good to see that it was a serious one. No sign of any 2700+ super GMs that haven't played in previous rounds?Chris Rice wrote:Just spoke to Matthew Sadler in the hotel foyer. Great to meet him again as I haven't seen him for many years. He's playing for Guildford 1 this weekend, looks like Guildford don't intend to gift Wood Green 1 the title.

Fressinet arrived yesterday so I assume he will play for Guildford. Brian Smith is missing the captains meeting today so I assume that means he is going to an airport to bring someone else in for Wood Green.

Bizarre. Ivanchuk's not playing today, he's in the bar with Fiona from Cheddleton following the live games on a laptop.
