Spamming the forum with unwanted nonsense

I thought this was a sensible forum.I for one, see little point in posting at present other than to register my disapproval of the hyperactivity being currently displayed.

I personally wouldn't call it spamming, I think a lot of what has been written is interesting, and think it's good that the forum is busier.

I don't specifically have a problem with it at the moment - as long as posts are too the point and relevant (I cannot vouch for interesting ) then that is fine

I would be a little concerned however if people repeatedly replied to their own posts (for example) or we dropped into the one or two word sentance scenario as some forums do...

Andrew's point is noted (and is also valid) so I will keep on eye on it

Strange, I'm not allowed in the forum about "Chess for Schools" even as the Project Manager of that project. Is that a miss hap or mallace from the mods. I hope thats a miss hap.

Now that we have all had a chance to breathe, I'd like to take this opportunity to wish Charles and his assistants all the best with the organisation of the chess sets for schools project. It's a mammoth task. I was just reflecting on how many schools there are in the Greater London region alone and to imagine delivering chess sets to each and every one is difficult to take in.

People who give up time unselfishly to further the cause of English Chess are worthy of everyone's admiration. Words are now going to mean very little over the coming months; as Charles says we must all work and discuss the way forward together to make this happen.

Only deeds will do.

The use of the word "valid" above gives the impression that I agree with Andrew's initial point of complaint and to be honest I don't - this forum is for free and open debate and everyone is entitled to their opinion

I would consider the issue of "spamming" as more a question of nonsense or repeated posts or the one/two word scenario I tried to describe - badly...
