I am delighted you are doing this again: many thanks. (Generally speaking, not just because I won it last year... 8) )

Obviously it's much tougher to pick today. Left it to the last minute and decided both Hawkins and Lalic will probably win, although I'm sure Longson-Hawkins will be a good fight.

Don't think I am going to be scoring many today, not sure I have got any of the early results right.

I'd planned to predict all my games as losses, so at least I get something from every game (2 points, a draw and a win), but I predicted I'd draw today, and I went and blundered a piece on move 8 [dippiest moment of my chess "career"]

I note that a number of participants in this competition are also playing in the tournament. I hope this doesn’t lead to allegations of match fixing in order to win the bigger prize :D

I’m pleased to report that I predicted the draw on Board 1 yesterday……… but was less successful elsewhere.

Many thanks to Andrew for doing this.

You were indeed the only one to predict a draw, congratulations!

I'm glad you're enjoying the competition! All four of the website editors are involved with running the competition, there's quite a lot that goes on behind the scenes!
