Howell needs to win tomorrow to equal the Championship record of 10/11.

Moreover, whatever one thinks of the strength of the event overall, no-one can say that he hasn't played a demanding field.

Indeed, a very impressive performance. No-one else in the field has looked remotely close to challenging David. His TPR after round 10 is over 200 points higher than the next best. Congratulations!

A performance beyond 2800 is definitely an impressive result, more than 150 points above his own rating.
If anything, I would not have expected 4 players still unbeaten after 10 rounds. There should be a special trophy for Gormally for not a single draw, hopefully he wont ruin the score on the last round.
