Urmston captain's Zip Slide Across The Manchester Ship Canal

Post by Mick Norris » Sat Sep 14, 2013 5:25 pm

I received this email and thought it worth posting here, given we don't see enough positive news about chess players
Hi All

I have been foolish enough to put myself in to zip slide across the Manchester Ship Canal in aid of the charity I work for which deals primarily in supporting people with addiction issues (http://www.disc-vol.org.uk/). I've set up a donate page and appreciate any small amount donated and your support, I just hope the the zip wire will support my ever increasing weight and I keep having recurring dreams about it not working and I will be left hanging across the Manchester Ship Canal in humiliation. Thats got to be worth a small donation surely? The page to donate to is below!

https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/grantrandall1

It will take place on the 13th October (details on the donate page) - if anyone would like a laugh and come and see my look of terror.

Thanks All:)

If he falls in, we'll fish him out as he floats down this way, and post him back to you. If he was stronger, we'd wring him out first, and sign him up
