Urmston captain's Zip Slide Across The Manchester Ship Canal

I received this email and thought it worth posting here, given we don't see enough positive news about chess players

Hi All

I have been foolish enough to put myself in to zip slide across the Manchester Ship Canal in aid of the charity I work for which deals primarily in supporting people with addiction issues (http://www.disc-vol.org.uk/). I've set up a donate page and appreciate any small amount donated and your support, I just hope the the zip wire will support my ever increasing weight and I keep having recurring dreams about it not working and I will be left hanging across the Manchester Ship Canal in humiliation.
