Who should the ECF Council elect as President?

If my motion eventually led to OMOV everyone would get a say. In the meantime, this poll will have to do. Who should Council elect as President?

Is there going to be a similiar thread for the other contested positions?

Sean, you an innovator when it comes to tournaments, but an entry poll of a subset of those you hope to enfranchise - is that wise?

Edit: Isn't there a danger that some actual Council voters will think the forum is representative (ye gods forbid) of the ECF membership at large and be influenced to vote for, or against, certain candidates?

Well, it's hardly the same as a membership vote... but I've voted: for Roger.

Are you prepared to say who is your preferred President, Sean?

Might you also be able to provide a rationale for your motion?

I'm sure "None of the above" is feeling left out

Quite. It is important to include him (or her) since it may be important to spell out where the battleground lies. If going for none of the above risks letting AP in (I'm still hugely sceptical), people should know now.

Now added. Do you think none of the above is likely to win?

Adding a new option wipes out all previous votes.
Fail.

PS - This seems to have wiped out previous votes. Sorry!

Kirk - Spock! Bones! Scotty! What about the prime directive?
Spock - Too late, Jim, they're already voting.
McCoy - Tasting the fruits of democracy before Sean could properly prepare them for it.
Scotty - Pass me the Saurian brandy, please. I cannae beer to watch it.
Kirk - No,wait... Sean has done that old time-reversal trick and put things back the way they were.
Scotty - What a hero!
McCoy - Yes, but look now Jim they're at it again and more of them than before.
Spock - I believe the genie is out of the bottle, gentlemen.
Scotty - Aye, and would someone pass me another bottle, this one's empty, too.

Don't know what he is talking about but...

I see it as another year of stagnation against a candidate who sounds interesting, not without risk, but who could be an inspired choice. Not that I have a vote.....

Perfect - it should wipe out previous votes as all votes should be cast under the same conditions, with the same names on the ballot.

Mick was certainly right. At the moment, none of the above wins, and the other two need a rapid play off.

(What would happen if that were the final outcome, seeing that JP is here?)

The Chairman of the meeting would declare that the post remains vacant, and appointment of the next President would become a matter for the Board.
