Football predictions

Post by Phil Neatherway » Tue Dec 24, 2013 9:41 am

A thread for all those predictions you make about football, so you can say 'I told you so' when they happen.

Here's one to start off with.

Tim Sherwood will be sacked as Spurs manager before the end of the season.

Sam Sodje and DJ Campbell enter the British Chess Championships after receiving training from Boris Ivanov.

Chelsea pay over the odds for a top striker in January.

He will, barring *total* disaster, get two years at least - SAF has invested too much in him as his "anointed one" for him to get the chop before that.

And there's always the cup competitions.......

- Chelsea will win the league.
- They will win it with 75 points or fewer - the lowest in the top division since 3 points for a win was introduced.

- There will be three South American nations in the World Cup semi-finals.

Sam Allardyce has often been criticised for his long-ball style of play, which is often dull and unpleasing to the eye.

Turns out he was born in Dudley.

Yes, I said what I did at the end of 2013 (when Moyes still had some chance of turning things around)

2014 has simply been horror after horror, though.

By all accounts the die was cast after the shambles in Greece, the surrenders at home to United's two fiercest rivals confirming his fate.

Carl, that is pretty impressive given that he was sacked immediately after the precise game which confirmed it was mathematically impossible to get into the top four.

The second leg of the Chelsea tie will be more exciting than the first.
