Did your game end where chess24 says it ended?
It ended on move 30, when I had just won a rook.

I don't like R Pert's position; 18 ...Ng5 looks good for Black (note 19 Qd7 Re7!). Presumably Richard was panicked into playing 16 g4 by fear of his bishop on e5 being trapped?

Edit: 18 ...Nd2 played. Actually I don't really know what's happening in this game.

I hesitate to comment on Keith's endgame play, but was ...Bxg5 really necessary?

Probably not, strictly speaking, but if he thinks he can further liquidate with ...g6 and subsequent exchanges on h5 and that the resulting endgame is tenable, then why not? I'm not sure myself, but I wouldn't fancy my chances against either player with either colour from the current position, so let's see what happens :)

Apparently the live stream of my game cut out. Here it is:

Did Weaving resign from the final position on the live board?

Can't imagine it, although I guess Akshaya has earned some serious respect this tournament :)

Depending on the draw I wonder if she might even have a shot at a WGM norm with a win in the next round? Or of course nothing.

She needs a win against a top 5 player tomorrow for a 10-round WGM norm.

In a similar vein, did Don Mason resign a piece up?

He is about to lose both of his pieces.

As if by magic, more moves have appeared in the Akshaya game.

My board is frozen at move 25 but I'm guessing you have more moves than me

Yes, patience is required, in fact comment is almost pointless.

Isn't he completely busted in the final position?

Interesting rook endgame in Jackson - Williams now, if you like that kind of thing.
