Week 11

A quick update. Peter Roberson is off the top - and could we be losing Sam Herring next time round after 11 weeks in the top five?
Top scorer was Paul Spiller with a mind-blowing 96 points - courtesy, largely of his mid field trio of Coutinho, Hazard and Firmino. Bottom of the pile were the "One legged men" of Hendrik Hoffman with 30 points - and that would have been substantially less without his triple pts wild card for Mahrez (15 pts).

1 Suicide Squad Gareth Yeo 63 610
2 Sisu Out Mark Page 67 605
3 Goals Peter Roberson 50 603
4 The Losers Sabrina Chevannes 57 583
5 Show me da Mané Sam Herring 51 583

More next time!

It appears I chose the wrong week to bench Capoue

Week 12

The teams are remarkably concertinaed with no outstanding performances in Week 12 and no one really floundering either. Top score of 66 to Bob Taylor - low score of 17 for Jon Tait . Little change therefore amongst the top five!

1 Suicide Squad Gareth Yeo 41 651
2 Goals Peter Roberson 46 649
3 Sisu Out Mark Page 40 645
4 The Losers Sabrina Chevannes 61 644
5 Show me da Mané Sam Herring 46 629

Bad decision of the week Anyone who left Capoue on the bench (see Lawrence's post above). Culprits included League Leader Gareth Yeo, John Garnett, Neil Graham, Onos Kofi-Ofuafor, Robert Ashworth plus several more!

Week 13

Sorry there was no Week 13 report - an attack of the winter vomiting bug intervened.

I'll try and interpolate some results later!

Week 14

Well Sam Herring is back on top! Nathan Talbot top scores with 96 points; Dave Ledger on 25 points the back-marker helped by producing Fernandinho (-1) from the bench!

1 Show me da Mané Sam Herring 76 764
2 Harley Hotspurs Andrew Harley 77 763
3 Sisu Out Mark Page 29 748
4 Suicide Squad Gareth Yeo 32 737
5 Crimson Demons Richard Dineley 84 735

Bad decision of the week A disaster for anyone with Aguero as captain (-2) - anyway we won't be seeing him for four matches!

Week 15

Someone has smuggled in some Christmas midweek matches - so rather earlier than usual here's a report for Week 15. At the top we have a new name - George Georgiou is into the top five for the first time with the aptly named George's Best. Otherwise very much the same as before. Top scorer of the week was Samuel Milson on 71 points whilst Jono Graham is down on 29 points.

1 Harley Hotspurs Andrew Harley 68 831
2 Show me da Mané Sam Herring 60 816
3 Sisu Out Mark Page 52 800
4 Suicide Squad Gareth Yeo 70 799
5 George's Best George Georgiou 65 798

Bad decision of the week Huge number of teams transferring out Aguero but for those who decided that it was time to transfer out Lukaku (12 points this week) and replace him by Defoe/Iheanacho/Anichebe may be regretting their decision - Nathan Talbot, John Garnett, Peter Staneland amongst the captains now without the Everton striker.

Do I get an honoury mention for transferring Vardy? At least captain Costa proved a better choice than Aguero & Coutinho in the previous two weeks

Real world 4NCL team management skills are not transferable to the field of dreams, it seems, Loz.

You indeed get more than a mention! I looked through a number of teams to see who'd been transferred in & out but couldn't find anyone who'd dispensed with Vardy's services - however I didn't get down as far as Page 2! It has to be said that both Vardy & Lukaku weren't exactly on tip-top form tonight!

Week 16

It's all too close to call at the top. Eleven teams are separated by 50 points and just a handful between Sam Herring in fifth to Andrew Harley in first.
Paul Spiller is top scorer with 82 points (how did he manage to name his team). Bottom marker Nick London with 19 points is cemented to the foot of the table. To put all this in perspective the overall leader has 1075 points - and is a Norwegian ex-footballer and TV pundit Knut Hebækk. Look him up on the net!

1 Harley Hotspurs Andrew Harley 37 868
2 George's Best George Georgiou 62 860
3 Suicide Squad Gareth Yeo 56 855
4 Crimson Demons Richard Dineley 58 853
5 Show me da Mané Sam Herring 40 852

Bad decision of the week James Redburn gets an honourable mention for having Heaton (12pts) and Williams (11pts) keeping the bench warm. Luckily Lovren came on as substitute for the non-appearing Stones otherwise the players on the bench would have outscored the 11 on the field!

Week 17

So Santa arrived early at Crystal Palace - he couldn't find a present in his sack for Alan Pardew ... so left him the sack! Sam Allardyce was given five gold rings and Jamie Vardy three matches off for too much two footed a-leaping. Week 18 is on the horizon - Cup Qualification week. Meanwhile Gareth Yeo & Sam Herring are just about hanging on to their places in the top five. Scorer of the week was Sabrina Chevannes with 85 points whilst this week's Ebenezer Scrooge was Robert Ashworth with a miserly 27 points.

1 George's Best George Georgiou 63 923
2 Crimson Demons Richard Dineley 59 912
3 Harley Hotspurs Andrew Harley 39 907
4 Spocktators Mark Leonard 59 901
5= Sisu Out Mark Page 49 898
5= Suicide Squad Gareth Yeo 43 898
5= Show me da Mané Sam Herring 46 898

Bad decision of the week Aguero was out so Harry Kane was in for a number of teams but to continue from last week, Barry Redburn's decision to play his "Triple Captain" card on the Spurs striker garnered just six points. Had the card been given instead to Deli Alli it would have scored a magnificent 27 points!
