Blimey. Not on the pitch though, one trusts.

Did anybody else play in that tournament once that was in the hospitality suite at Forest?

(Incidentally are the kick-off times GMT or CET?)

"Yes, but I prefer a game with a better chance of cheating."

Yes - Nottingham Congress 2004 and 2005 (and possibly earlier - Neil Graham would know). There were problems with the low sun in the early evening as I recall.

What amused me the year I played was that it took place the weekend of the play-off semi-finals, so Forest must have given up on them by the time the tournament was arranged.

The football is on the pitch at Telstar's ground on the 18th

Preparations are going well, at least as far as the cakes are concerned :)

I posted the times as I was sure I had read they were GMT, but based on the chess24live countdown clock, it appears they are CET and therefore rounds normally start at 12:30 pm GMT

Personally as a Premium member for the past 18 months I can see why they do it and maybe a lot more people will sign up for this excellent service. The instructional videos and ebooks (much better than those on chess.com) are all free to premium members.

I have now paid and airplay to an Apple TV works ok but better if there was a native application.

The official site for the tournament is carrying video commentary from chess.com with Yasser Seirawan and a Dutch player I recognise but can't put a name to.
