Do museums count as media?

If so, I spotted a photo of Le Quang Liem in the Ho Chi Minh City Museum, amongst other successful Vietnamese sports people, with some comments on his prowess at chess. In the photo he was playing White against Eugenio Torre, and, after 2 moves, White had played c4 and d4, and Black had played ...d6 and ...e5. There was nothing to indicate when or where the game was played, and it's not in my database.

One or two signs of players making a move - though Justin Rose fluffs a putt from six feet for birdie, leaving it high and the break doesn't come.
Adam Scott has picked up three shots in seven holes, Phil Mickelson with magic from the sand on three. From a long way out he whips one off the fluffy sand and it's four feet for birdie. After bogey on the first he's gone birdie-birdie.

Radio Times is advertising the Hay Festival (a major literature festival in Hay on Wye). According to them, the "star performers" are, Paula Hawkins, Charlotte Rampling, Helen Fielding and Garry Kasparov.

Gilberto Rodriguez Orejuela was a wel-known drug smuggler from Colombia. He was known as 'THE CHESS PLAYER' because of his ability to stay ahead of his rivals and outwit the authorities. He was first incarcerated in 1995 and is currently in a US jail.

An article in the Daily Telegraph Page 16, on Monday 8 May 2017 by Juliet Samuel, about Brexit.
'That way, when Mr Juncker opens up his Greek playbook, Britain, like a good chess player, will already have though five moves ahead.'

I doubt she knew of Capablanca's comment about only seeing one move ahead - if it was the right one.

Today's Times has a photograph of the Rechtes gegen Linkes Alsteruferturnier, with the caption "Picking up the pieces - Hundreds of young chess players from either side of the Alster river in Hamburg compete in the city's annual left shore v right shore tournament". No article to go with the photograph though. The website says there were 4,240 players, with "Right" beating "Left" 1074-1046.

Just looked at it briefly (at work). One of the opening statements when some guy was talking the media.

"It was probably the most serious coverage for a chess match ever."

Sounds like he was not there in 1972.

I feel sorry for people who do not know how to play chess.
I also feel sorry for those that do but were not around in 1972.

Can't work out why your own men took pot shots at you - it's not as if you were serving in Vietnam or any such neck of the woods. Was it something personal, perhaps?
