Gibraltar Web Site
Does anyone know what has happened to the Gibraltar tournament website? It has been down since Friday. Hopefully it is a technical blip and not an indication that the tournament is in any peril

Looks like someone has let the domain expire, probably a genuine mistake but a bad one at thatMatthew Peat wrote:Does anyone know what has happened to the Gibraltar tournament website? Yes, Carl, you're right! It's an expired domain name problem. This seems to happen every year. But last year the organisers thought they had renewed for THREE years so why this should have happened this year is a complete mystery. I am assured people on the Rock are talking to each other...

John - I'm not sure quoting the entire domain name details was terribly helpful. Do you really think forum readers want to read all that guff?
I'm still trying to get the Gib domain name renewed. I find all interactions with domain/web hosting/registration companies very trying. Spoken as an ex-IT professional, by the way. The world of IT needs a few lessons in how to communicate in plain English. I realise I am being naive - like lawyers and accountants, they prefer to obfuscate in order to maintain power.
