K Kings 1 Question
Can anyone tell me who K Kings 1 are paired with for round one and round two ?
I can see the pairings for K Kings 2.
I've asked Matthew Carr and Dave Thomas the same question but have had no reply from either.
Thanks.

Re: K Kings 1 Question
I would guess that the arbiters, in their wisdom, decided against pairing a team that hasn't entered.
See the entry list here: http://www.4ncl.co.uk/1718_teams.htm

Re: K Kings 1 Question
Is it possible that KJCA Kings are the first team and K Kings 2 are the second team? Maybe not, as KJCA Kestrels seem to be the second team.

Re: K Kings 1 Question
So K Kings have entered their second team but not their first team ?
Excuse me for being stupid.

Re: K Kings 1 Question
What sort of a name is "K Kings" anyway?
(Prize for best name goes to 'All Anands on Deck')

Both KJCA Kings and K Kings each have their own team lists.

Maybe the '2' is part of the name?

Re: K Kings 1 Question
'D&D United' is a bit obscure, anyone know what the D&D stand for?
Another world champion name-checked in 'Fischer's Catch'.
('Throw in the Tal' is old hat now.)

Hmm. So when is a second team not a second team? When there is no first team!

Re: K Kings 1 Question
Are 'Wood Green HK' and 'Wood Green Monarchs' from the same stable? Or have Wood Green 2 merged with Midland Monarchs?

Re: K Kings 1 Question
They merged at the end of the 2015-16 season. I was asked to take over as captain of Wood Green HK when Andrew Greet stood down to move to Alba. Midland Monarchs 1-3 played as Wood Green "MM1-MM3" last season but when the Division Three team got promoted I decided not to continue with the Division Four teams as 4 teams at 2 venues proved a bit too much organising for one person. Hence two teams at one venue and "MM1" being amended to "Monarchs". The league were not in favour of the team being called "Wood Green Hilsmark Kingfisher Midland Monarchs" for some unknown reasonChristopher Kreuzer wrote: ↑Tue Nov 07, 2017 10:52 amAre 'Wood Green HK' and 'Wood Green Monarchs' from the same stable? Re: K Kings 1 Question
The top board for K Kings is also in the KJCA Kings squad.
If it isn't legitimate, I would have expected a sweep of the registration list for double registration would have found and queried it.
You are allowed to have separate squads if you feel a need to avoid the 80 point rule for your second or thirds teams.

Re: K Kings 1 Question
Looking at
http://www.4ncl.co.uk/team_captains.htm
It would appear that "K Kings 2" is the name of the squad rather than a team.
I presume that if K Kings 2 had a second team it would be called
K Kings 2 2
Perhaps Desmond could become their Honorary President ?
