Presumably the proposed changes will also make the voting allocations that much easier to calculate.
It looks routine, it would make obvious sense to tie voting rights to the grading cycle and to formalise what happens when an event wants its games to be graded, without of itself becoming an ECF member and appointing a Council representative.

There is one already published, Angus though it appeared a little later than the agenda:

C28.7a-Provisions-RE-Register-of-Voting-Entitlement.pdf
Also the full details of the relevant special resolution are also now published

We will, of course, be sending Emails to the silver membership
..and John and I have received our first response. Not bad, since we've not even written the Email yet. Thanks Paul!

I realise that the exchange below had probably drifted onto the wrong thread.

Either way there does not seem to be that much on the agenda for such a long meeting or am I missing something?
One thing you are missing is the papers for the meeting, but we shall see them in a couple of days. Remember that this is a Finance Council meeting, so perhaps the Budget will contain numbers worthy of discussion.

A set of accounts would also normally be of interest to such a gathering, but I see no mention of anything like that.

Hopefully a provisional list of representatives (as far as we are aware) will appear later this week. It won't have number of votes attached as the calculation of that is still ongoing and it won't show many proxies as not many have yet been notified. While perhaps I shouldn't contradict the CE, the office has a lot of stuff to get out so perhaps avoiding avoidable phone calls might be kind.

Item 6 of the Agenda contains

"6. To receive the report of Finance Director and further to approve
(a) The proposed budget for 2018/2019."

We are also told

"The full set of paperwork to be is published on the ECF website at
http://www.englishchess.org.uk/about/ec ... and-board/
by Wednesday April 4th."

It is now April 5th and unless I'm looking in the wrong place there is still nothing. There is not even a mention of accounts for y/e 31.8.2017.

I happen to know that there are legitimate reaons why update was administratively difficult yesterday. I also happen to know that there are circumstances beyond the control of either the ECF office or the Finance Director that have caused publication problems. Give it another day Nick.

But why leave it to the last day anyway? It's not as though three weeks is very long for delegates to dissect and then consult with the membership on a complex set of numbers.

I didn't quote it because it wasn't there.
