Very generous if they were, since he neither thinks they should exist as a federation nor that Scotland exists as a nation

He admitted the decision was strategic. It was decided, not unanimously, by his team yesterday morning. "We realized we wouldn’t win, and change is the main priority.” (Chess.com)

Whenever it takes this long there has to be a sneaking suspicion that one of the tellers has sneaked off to the bookies. Perhaps that's the alternative to sponsorship?

While the sun is getting weaker in Batumi, the votes are still being (recounted). It should be done soon now.

Not sure if that is a formal recount (because it was close), or just a normal routine recounting check.
Presumably the (remaining) candidates are told first who won, and then the Assembly.
