So, the forum got the results in exact reverse order. Not sure what that says about us and what is says about FIDE.
Ah, but I was so much older then. I'm younger than that now.

White smoke! Does Makro still chair the rest of the Assembly and Dvorkovich takes over at a later date?

Aternatively, given that Nigel transferred his supporters to Dvorkovich, that makes 27/46 or 58.7% of our vote, Actual result was 103/181 or 57% so we were quite close, certainly closer than Malcolm and the ECF.Brian Towers wrote: ↑Wed Oct 03, 2018 3:15 pmSo, the forum got the results in exact reverse order. Good question. Makro has left the room, so he isn't Chairing. Not sure 4.3 is going to happen tonight.Christopher Kreuzer wrote: ↑Wed Oct 03, 2018 3:16 pmWhite smoke! Does Makro still chair the rest of the Assembly and Dvorkovich takes over at a later date?

I wonder whether Short or Makro or Malcolm will feature in the new administration?

Maybe if the question had been "Who do we think will win?" people would have voted differently.Brian Towers wrote: ↑Wed Oct 03, 2018 3:15 pmSo, the forum got the results in exact reverse order. Not sure what that says about us and what is says about FIDE.

Ha, did Nigel of all people complain of a culture of bullying? Good Lord.

Chess Scotland made their final decision about how to vote the day before the ECF did. Unlike the ECF, CS chose not to make the decision public.Roger de Coverly wrote: ↑Wed Oct 03, 2018 1:17 pmScotland was on the list of those nominating Makro.

But the ECF nominated Nigel, so it doesn't always indicate voting intent on election day.

The newly elected President takes over at the end of the Congress, so chairing the second and third days of the General Assembly is formally Makropoulos's responsibility.Christopher Kreuzer wrote: ↑Wed Oct 03, 2018 3:16 pmWhite smoke! Will he fulfil it? We shall find out in the morning.

There's a contested election for African continental president coming up, but is there anything else controversial? Perhaps Agon, but that's going to be on the new President's "to do" list anyway.David Sedgwick wrote: ↑Wed Oct 03, 2018 9:15 pmchairing the second and third days of the General Assembly is formally Makropoulos's responsibility.
