Malcolm Pein is also involved with the Kasparov Chess Foundation and a member of the GCT Advisory Board. That doesn't make Kasparov a Makropoulos supporter.
Anyway thanks to all for comments so far (but especially to David and Nick). All I'd say for myself is that the one thing I'm reasonably sure of is that Kasparov is not being entirely frank with the public.
