Play every e2e4 Chess Congress for free

I'm feeling a bit generous this morning and whilst I know this is a bit of a gimmick, I like do like to do as much as I can to encourage people to play so I'm going to give this a try!

Every player who plays in at least two of the next three e2e4 Weekend Congresses

Uxbridge Congress : 19-21 March 2010
Warrington Congress : 7-9 May 2010
Sunningdale Congress : 28-31 May 2010

will have their name entered into a draw which will take place during the Sunningdale Congress for a pass which will allow that player to play every e2e4 Weekend Congress in 2010 and 2011 completely free of charge.

Sean, are you planning you to change the time control after 1 July, when Fide introduce new rules for title norms)? If so, to what?

I have to confess that I'm not dreadfully keen on 90min +30sec/move.

Hi Ola,

For weekenders, where norms are not possible, we will retain 90 mins + 30 sec increments.

For International events where norms are achievable we will use 40 moves in 90 mins, plus 30 mins with 30 sec increments.

I'm undecided what we'll do with non-norm events at Internationals but I'll talk to players in February and make a call after that.
