As far as I can see, Crawford used to be the genuine article (mind you, if we went back as far as 1972, so did Ray) and I think his Institute was a bona fide organisation at least into the early years of this century. How precisely it went from being what it was to what it is now, I don't know, and as I say in the Kingpin piece, I've not, so far, been able to contact him, and believe me I have tried.

Note he has an interest in chess too, and was patron for a Staunton event in 2009. I have no idea of his chess ability, but I imagine he would be interested to meet a GM with an interest in the brain (one of his many work interests).
