Hello Roger,

From the entry form:-
The international laws of chess shall apply except that, contrary to said laws, a first completed illegal move will result in an Arbiter’s warning but no time adjustment. A second such move will result in the loss of the game except in the limited circumstances (insufficiency of mating material) set out in the said laws.
What are the reasons for this change? Won't this change render the tournament ineligible for ECF grading?

I had thought not but now realise I'm probably wrong, in which case (and thanks for pointing it out) I'll amend this before entries arrive. The previous event, on 27 May, conformed to the FIDE Laws - I then had to remember how to add extra time with minimum of fuss!
