Why we just blocked Boris Johnson on his way to see the Queen

In the peak of our latest heatwave – the second to hit the UK in two months – we just saw Boris Johnson officially become our latest Prime Minister. We can see clearer than ever that our climate is breaking down.

It will be Boris Johnson’s job to help tackle the climate emergency that’s dangerously heating our planet and threatening the lives of hundreds of millions of people around the world. What happens next will be on his watch.

So he is not "Trump" that much, at least in words.
As an Iranian official said, Britaish people won't allow for populism.

There's some truth in that, but Boris coming to office has changed the political climate here.

Trump himself has said that some are saying Boris is "Britain's Trump".

The British do not do populism with any great enthusiasm, unlike in the USA where enthusiasm is a prerequisite in all walks of life.

Here in the UK, the favourite word of Boris' supporters is now 'optimism' and Boris' own favourite word is (political) 'energy'.

Trump's theme is 'greatness' - first his own and then America's - his fanbase in the US is far larger and more enthusiastic than Boris' in the UK.

Trump can fail, again and again, yet still be hailed as the chief.

Boris has only to fail in his stated mission (Brexit) once and he'll be consigned to the dustbin of history along with his predecessors.
