Thanks guys. I hope it wasn't too petty of me to fight for justice with this.
I don't exactly see myself as a superstar, so it is nice to be recognised as the 2018/19 Champion English tournament player.

It's never petty to fight for justice.

Well, I've got my winners trophy from the ECF, but the leaderboard still has me as coming second, and we're 4 months into the following year's competition ( from which I've self-excluded). Now what do I do?
I feel like I've pestered Adrian Elwin too much over this already. And as far as I'm aware the matter barely came up, if at all, at the ECF October meeting.

Re: Results of the ECF 2018/9 Grand Prix
We learn from the latest ECF Newsletter that:
"After the completion of the 2018-2019 Grand Prix, a complaint was made concerning the score made by GM Keith Arkell which had been reduced between the penultimate list and the final list. This was due to the correction of a previous mistake. However, we accept that the delay between the two lists gave Keith no knowledge of the correction, and no chance to recover from it. It has been decided that the ‘fairest and most equitable’ solution is to declare the competition as a tie between Keith and Yichen Han."
It then says "This decision has been accepted by all parties concerned."
I wonder what they've done with the trophies. The photograph above only has one person's name on it.

I think they made an extra one. I have no problem with that. Yichen was also led to believe that he had won. I have now been promised that for historical records the final leaderboard will be tinkered with to show a tie. I'm not sure how that will be done, but hope that it includes my Paignton result.

Rule of thumb, a competition that has an attack named after it is prestigious enough to not have the wrong person win it
