Old news - Leonard Barden already scooped everyone - in the Fantasy Football thread.

Edit: I see you've already acknowledged that there.

Thanks, Nick.

CP train just round the corner from me.

Wish I could've tried to persuade a couple to join Magnus & Freddie Ljunberg at Arsenal, but it all went south too soon. Just another broken pipe dream.

There was a chess 'joke' on Monday's I'm sorry I haven't a clue . It was in Jack Dee's opening comments about 2 minutes 20 seconds into the programme.

I won't say what it was, just in case someone listens to it and actually finds it funny.

Pretty poor stuff. Maybe they should have axed the show after Humphrey Lyttelton retired.

You have a snout on the Street?
"Do you play chess?"
"Yes, but I prefer a game with a better chance of cheating."

An ex-MCF President has been the chess adviser to Corrie for much of the last decade, and recently spent a day on set

A matter of taste, but I thought it was the best non-technical chess joke I've heard in a long time (but then I am a fan of the show, and of Jack Dee's role in it).

And I particularly enjoyed the "herbal bread" joke.

Jonathan Rowson's The Moves That Matter is reviewed in the Times Literary Supplement.
