Media comments on chess

As I understand it, or rather what Malcolm's tweets state that Malcolm is still doing Sunday to Friday each week in the paper ie 6 days and its just that his Saturday column has been replaced by a crossword with Mickey doing a chess column on Saturdays instead. Malcolm's Saturday columns can still be read at chess.co.uk, I'm not a reader of Boris Johnson's PR machine anyway but really, even if I was, how vexed as a chess player, should I be about this?

Now the Daily Telegraph has one chess column on a Saturday rather than two. The Daily Telegraph is therefore not pulling the chess column as the Sunday Times did in its entirety. So the question I was asking was not whether I could write to the editor but whether I should because I really can't see the fire here.

I wonder if the cover related to a story inside as Chess and Bobby Fischer was back in the news again.
