would be worse under Kier or Libs. We may all be in tier 2/3 soon.

True, but he wouldn't have been in charge. I'm sure Jeremy would have floundered as much as Boris, although probably in a different way. Covid-19 is not an easy problem to solve.

Seems the world combatted flu better back in 1918🤔

Of course. That virus was very bad, but mercifully the governments of that time did not have today's power and resources to make it ten times worse.

Something over one million people worldwide have died of Covid-19. It is estimated up to 50 million died of 'Spanish' flu. There are more than four times as many people on the planet as there were 100 years ago.

There was also the small matter of a total war going on in much of the world for at least the first part of the Spanish Flu outbreak.

Ah, the hypothetical "someone else might have been at least as bad or even worse" defence. I wonder how that would hold up against a charge of incompetence in absolutely any other field.

But just to answer anyway: No, because rather than filling the pockets of their useless mates, they'd have utilized the public sector properly. Even other Tories would have done that. This is all on Boris.

The latest London solution is bonkers. Congestion charge inside north and south circular. Taking over Transport for London and putting council tax up and fares and no jobs to go to. PLUS charging to travel to education. Boris is a bad fat controller.

I think we have to remember the Spanish Flu affected the age group of 20-50 predominately, which were already in a bad position after 4 years of arguably one of the biggest conflicts in history

Covid is a different virus, affects predominately the older population

I personally think some of the modelling comparing the two is problematic

But much more importantly, governments weren't so scheming and corrupt back then. As you probably know already, since a number of GMs have already spotted it and published their findings Covid-19 is just a cover up. It's being used to reduce chess down to nothing more than a computer game. That's top of the agenda for the G 20. They seem to be succeeding, presumably theapocalypse, like buses, will come together after we have waited ages for them. It's really just a smoke screen to stop people enjoying chess, its not about pandemics and bacteria. Being an conman recently conned by an ex-conman, I know my stuff.
