Gosh can it? Thanks for that. In half a century of playing chess I had never previously encountered such an idea. Previously, I had thought the pieces had precisely defined values all the way through a game. Thank you, you have transformed my life.

The numbers work for me. I think it's simply wrong to say that they only have any value for beginners. I would say that they are my fundamental starting point when assessing any position, and without them i would find it very difficult.
