An exhortation rather than an instruction surely?
"Do you play chess?"
"Yes, but I prefer a game with a better chance of cheating."

Why use capital letters, then. To me that rather shouts instruction :)

I don't want to make a song and dance about my birthday, but I won't be 79

Sorry about the capital letters John. My lap top is too old. I hope I play chess by Sept 2021. Keep safe.

40 is not old. I would play chess and football and take my family out for a birthday meal.

Nick, no worries. Let's hope we can all play chess at some point this year. You and yours stay safe as well - as, hopefully, will all on the Forum. No matter how annoying you all are at times!

Make sure you all send AZ a PM wishing him a 40th birthday.
It will be funny the next time he logs in and finds he has received 30 PMs.

I cant believe it would be... a good number for a chess player?

"It wasn't for Bobby F"

I played at the Fischer Memorial in Reykjavik and the President of the Icelandic Chess Federation announced that it was "appropriate that Fischer died aged 64". I found him later and said that as I was 64 years old, I couldn't agree! We both laughed...

The Scottish mainland is to go into full lockdown with schools closed until February apparently.
On different note, I'm afraid I have some very sad news to report from the South West in the Deaths Category soon.
