George made the boy cry!!!!
George Horne is a wily player, he only has a low 1737 ecf rating but this is because he often doesnt try to win games but draws them even against strong players. In the South Lakes Congress he often tries to win and he came up against the im David Egglestone when he was a child prodigy and was understandably getting well and truly stuffed by him with his king going being hunted all over the board in enemy territory and it looked like he was going down but he just managed to escape time and time again, David was getting very frustrated and when it became clear that he wasnt going to catch Georges king he started to cry. Anyway George started to get the upper hand and David was eventually beaten running off crying. Iam not making fun of David he was after-all just a boy and i hope he learnt to take the knocks with the smooth as we all must learn to do at chess.

This particular game was published in CHESS magazine, I believe.

i appologise to Thomas Eggleston for displaying the game, George is one of the most wily people you will ever meet Thomas, he would probably find a jammy win vs Magnus Carlsen and im not joking. He can be much stronger than his rating suggests.
