Yes it is disappointing. I said to myself, as I read the result of the match this morning, "You know, I haven't seen this anywhere on the BBC or any of the other newspapers i read online." Pretty poor.

It was nice to see Vishy knocking the predictions of the pundits though.

I did find an account in the latter of Anand's volcano-affected travel difficulties, along with a preview of the match. It's classified - believe it or not - under 'Life & Style > Fashion > Features'.

Spess has been covering the match in his Indy column - but generally he is one day behind. I haven't checked the paper today but I wouldn't be surprised if his game 12 analysis and comment comes out tomorrow. The Guardian is alone in the papers that you mention in not having a daily chess column. Shame on them.
