The great news I can now share with you all, is that Lancashire is back on the chess scene.
There has been a resurgence of congresses and Rapidplays in our county.
Last weekend, I helped at a Lancashire Junior Chess Congress in Blackburn, where we had a full house of 80 children playing,
Last year, there was a junior congress held in Preston, and a coaching day.
We are also planning to enter a strong junior team in the Pennine Cup.
Congratulations to our new President, Richard Walsh, for rejuvenating the Red Rose.
