Is it reasonable to assume that the EPSCA national primary schools chess championships isn't likely to go ahead this year? I don't think any details have been published, and I know that there have been some particular circumstances this year that may have made it difficult.

Last year the competition between schools was taking place in The first three months of the year

Stage 1: Zones
Local events where a number of schools send teams and try to qualify for the semi-finals. Usually held in January, February and March.

Presumably nothing has happened.

Thanks Roger. Yes, to be clear I'm asking specifically about the NPSCC for this year, not the inter-association championships.

As Alex correctly points out, the EPSCA Inter-Association events have progressed smoothly with a number of regional zones for the U9 and U11 open events.

In March and April we will have the national finals for the U9 Open, the U11 Open and the U11 girls event.

I am in no position to provide an update on the EPSCA National Primary Schools' Chess Championships.

Yes, a couple of the individual zonals have popped up this week on chess-results so something is obviously happening, but I still can't find any central information about where the zonals are or how to enter. Last year there was a document listing maybe 20 zonals with dates etc. Perhaps information went out by email, but my schools participated in zonals and semi-finals last year so I would have thought I should have received it if so. Hopefully somebody from EPSCA will come along to clarify!
