Re: 2010/11 Championship
I had seen the clash with Sheffield and thought that would mean a few matches moving dates (as Suffolk v Kent in the Open which has already been played)
Good luck in the semi, Loz, hope you can go all the way this time
G Man U160 captain tried hard to get Lancs to move the date, but failed, but at least has the consolation of being on holiday knowing that the "away" match is being played in Greater Manchester

I'm sure something could have been done if requested well in advance but it sounds like it was sometime this week before it became apparant that the clash was causing a major problemMick Norris wrote:I had seen the clash with Sheffield and thought that would mean a few matches moving dates (as Suffolk v Kent in the Open which has already been played)

You have to suppose the website is out of date, but there don't seem to be enough entrants in the Open to knacker a major county.LozCooper wrote:I'm sure something could have been done if requested well in advance but it sounds like it was sometime this week before it became apparant that the clash was causing a major problem

I'm not sure any of their normal first team is in that list
However, as the result of the Lancs v Yorks match is not available, to the best of my knowledge, who knows?

I'm one of the regular Yorkshire first team who will be at Sheffield. I only sent my entry this morning so that's why I'm not on the list, maybe the rest of our team are doing the same.
The Lancs Yorks match didn't happen this year, not sure why.

So, Judgement Day (otherwise known as the quarter finals) is upon us. Anyone playing? I'm on a train (so not being bussed in ) to Rugby to play for Leicestershire v Hetrfordshire somewhere near Northampton!

I took advantage of Yorkshire's default against Staffs to travel south for a sight seeing tour of PurleySean Hewitt wrote:So, Judgement Day (otherwise known as the quarter finals) is upon us. Worcestershire played a week early in the U140, and beat Lancashire 10-6.Sean Hewitt wrote:So, Judgement Day (otherwise known as the quarter finals) is upon us. Anyone playing? I'm on a train (so not being bussed in ) to Rugby to play for Leicestershire v Hetrfordshire somewhere near Northampton!

I've been into and around Bolton - lots of sirens with police and ambulances, but no sign of any heading to Heywood for the Lancs - G Man U160 match

Re: 2010/11 Championship
Very, very preliminary news from Milton Keynes (I left while most games were still going on):
Minor Counties: Bedfordshire heavily outgraded Gloucestershire and were 3-0 up and looking good.
U180: Notts 5-2 up against Kent (12 board match), with two clear wins waiting to be chalked up - it would be astonishing if Notts were to lose from that position.
U160: Failed to take in anything about the score between Essex and Warwickshire.
U140: More or less the reverse of the U180 match. Kent three points up against Notts and apparently cruising.

Bedfordshire won 13.5-2.5 - I don't know what happened in the other MK matches.

Re: 2010/11 Championship
I played in the Warwickshire / Surrey open match. I left before the end and we (Warwickshire) were getting totally stuffed. I think Surrey were about 199ish on about board 10 and about 185 on bottom board!
